CIDER & APPLE JUICE
When we celebrated our wedding at a mountain farm in the Sierra Nevada, we were given a wine press as a gift. This marked the beginning of our little cider adventure – we went home, pressed apples from the farm into fresh juice, dug out old glass carboys, and made our first cider. Everyone who tasted it was thrilled and encouraged us to make more. Of course, we had to do that!

Our ciders and apple juices are made from fine traditional varieties, each with its own distinct flavor and history.

Apple Juice

Our apple juice contains only 100% apples and is completely alcohol-free. We press juice from different varieties, so everyone can find their favorite. The juice is perfect to serve with good meals and is also a refreshing thirst-quencher. You might also enjoy it as apple mulled drink – warm the juice gently with a cinnamon stick, a piece of star anise, and perhaps a spoonful of honey, and savor it on a winter evening.

In autumn 2024, we pressed juice from the varieties Red Aroma, Rosette, Discovery, and Filippa, and finally we pressed Bramley’s Seedling together with Rubinstep and other fine apples to create a juice we call Bramley’s Blend. You can choose between large and small bottles.

Cider Production
These traditional apple varieties are particularly well suited for cider making – the juice becomes extra fresh and flavorful, and the cider gains both body and character. Each variety leaves its mark on the final product, making every cider unique.

After the harvest in the orchards, we bring the apples straight into the cider house, where they are crushed and pressed into fresh juice. For those who can’t wait, we bottle some of this wonderful juice immediately. This juice can be enjoyed year-round as a refreshing non-alcoholic alternative.
The rest is carefully transferred into carboys and tanks, where it is given plenty of time to mature, allowing aroma and flavor to develop fully. Our cider contains no additives whatsoever – it is a pure natural product. Even the yeast is local, coming straight from the apple orchard.

Serving Tips

For the best taste experience, cider should be served lightly chilled, around 6–8 °C. Until serving, it is best to store the bottles cool and horizontally, so that the fine bubbles don’t escape through the natural cork.

Cider of all varieties makes an excellent aperitif. The very best pairing is with cheese, often combined with cured meats. Cider can also be served with many types of food. The drier ciders pair well with seafood as well as meat dishes, while the sweeter ciders go wonderfully with desserts and cakes. Many consider cider the perfect match for traditional Christmas food, and it also brings a refreshing sparkle to dishes like sushi and pizza. Try it out and discover your own favorite combinations!
